Is minecraft pocket edition or at least minecraft available on the Nintendo DS lite?

I want to play minecraft on my Nintendo DS Lite, so is Pocket edition downloadable on Nintendo DS lite? or is at least minecraft on Nintendo DS Lite?

What the hell ever gave you the idea that Minecraft would be playable on the DS? The freaking DS LITE out of all things! Maybe you can homebrew it in, but I bet it would be almost unplayable and would break down in ten seconds flat!

The bad english in this thread hurts my brain.

Mojang have signed a contract with Microsoft, meaning that any new Minecraft releases have to be for Microsoft systems. Pocket Edition is an exception to this, as it was created before the contract was signed.

Nintendo DS lite does not have Internet and cant go to google play store or 4shared to download mcpe. I don't think DSI has an Internet app with alongside the 3DS. So no. Homebrew probably.
